HOW I WORK
HOW I WORK
You know your body best!
It matters to me to get to know how YOU use your body, what helps you feel good, and what do you need today in order to feel better. (There are no wrong answers, by the way!) I listen to my clients and welcome feedback—because feeling safe is always a requirement for relaxation.
I have a solid base of osteopathic and anatomical knowledge to approach my clients’ challenges strategically, considering how things are connected, while leaning on my intuitive sense to let our nervous systems work together.
I’m not a purist in any one modality. While I primary offer Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage, I fold in techniques from Shiatsu and Craniosacral Therapy. Upon request, I offer gentle Abdominal Massage, which can be profoundly helpful for stimulating digestion and the lymphatic system, as well as relieving menstrual cramps and emotional stress.
What to expect:
• First 5-10 minutes: we’ll sit down together to ease into connection and talk about your session goals.
• I work on a table, using oil. I ask that you dress down to whatever level is most comfortable for you.
• I typically play instrumental music in the background. If you have alternate preferences, please let me know.
• I have props available, including a foot/knee bolster. You’re welcome to bring your own, as needed.
• I ask permission to work on sensitive areas, such as: the face, neck, abdominals, glutes, and adductors.
• This is a body-positive environment! I’m not here to judge or determine what’s “wrong.”
• I’ll follow up with you the day after your session to offer support as your body processes the work.
So, you’re a homebody?
I offer sessions at my cozy, West Berkeley cottage + if space allows, I’m happy to set up in your home!
Kind Words
“Marley is not only a skilled bodyworker, they are a grounding presence that makes me feel completely at ease no matter what energy I’m coming in with that day. I leave each session feeling deeply cared for.”

A little bit about me
My massage practice emerged from my own healing experience.
I was frustrated with my body and spent a lot of energy abusing it and trying to power through—that’s what good athletes do, right? That’s just who I was.
Eventually, I realized this hero’s journey to healing just wasn’t working for me… I was totally stumped! I guess I need…(gulp)…help!
I found that, through receiving healing touch, I could actually drop in and experience my body with more kindness. For a moment, I could just kick back and let someone else take over the hard work of tending to my pain. Finally, I wasn’t alone. Phewwww! I’d found a buddy system in bodywork.
I decided to pour myself into the healing arts, and slowly, it became a gift I could reciprocate to others. Like you!
A few years later, I graduated from the McKinnon Body Therapy Center in 2023, where I received special training in trauma-informed touch and massage for common health conditions such as chronic pain and autoimmune diseases.
That’s all for now! Take care.
